location

The sauna is currently located in Lawrencetown Nova Scotia, 1 minute walk from the beach. We have a special offering only available to booking August 10-12.

Sauna Nova Scotia is co-operated by Erica and Devin Brook. We built the mobile structure in Tatamagouche in 2015 and are looking forward to offering our first winter of hosted sauna events. Cold drizzly sober times in Nova Scotia never felt so good.

Sauna experience

The purpose of wood-fired outdoor sauna is to provide a relaxed, cozy warmth, peaceful space and a sense of well-being. It relieves aches or discomfort and boosts circulation, promotes sweating to cleanse the body of impurities, and leave skin with a healthy appearance. It is a powerful stress-buster.

The sauna space can be a personal retreat, or a way to spend time with friends, family or colleagues in relaxed conversation. It is welcoming and non-judgmental, promoting body acceptance and self-awareness.

There is no wrong or right way to sauna. Temperature and duration depend on personal preferences and location. The space accomodates 6-8 people and is heated with a wood stove to around 80 degrees. A few practical guidelines help ensure a happy experience, and every session is led by a sauna host.
